MET-VET – Metacognition for
Environmental Thinking in VET

geographical diversity allowed for continuous reflection and a comprehensive comparison
of different educational approaches related to the theme of metacognition in VET.
➢ Educational Support and Resources: The initiative highlighted the critical need for ongoing
educational support, tailored methodologies, and ample resources in VET to effectively
integrate and enhance metacognitive and green skills.
➢ Effective Knowledge Exchange: Through regular knowledge-sharing sessions and the
creation of the MET VET platform, products and results, partners were able to adopt best
practices and mutually exchange knowledge and expertise, showcasing successful
collaborative efforts.
➢ Deeper Understanding of Educational Practices: Continuous discussions, project meetings,
and national researches facilitated a deeper understanding of significant differences and
similarities in current practices across the involved countries.
➢ Enhanced Management and Communication: The project also served as a learning platform
for improving management strategies and adopting new digital communication tools
➢ Resilience and Adaptability: Despite minor delays and changes in team composition, the
project demonstrated resilience and adaptability, maintaining its trajectory and achieving
its goals even if the topics were challenging and the results ambitious
➢ Successful Project Deliverables: The collaborative efforts led to significant products such as
the Framework, the MOOCs, the development of a Digital library and the present Toolkit,
that will be utilized in future implementations.
➢ Overall, the MET-VET project not only fostered the integration of metacognitive skills in VET
settings across the participating countries but also created a dynamic environment of
mutual respect and understanding, significantly enhancing the professional capabilities of
all participating organizations.
