Profile of the respondents All respondents are from Podkarpackie region. The VET
Trainers are from two VET schools located in Ropczyce and
                                              Rzeszów.
The experience of the trainers ranges from 5 up to 20 years
                                              of experiences in training.
The managers come from VET organisations that are
members of Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Rzeszów
                                              (1) and IT Cluster (4) that operate in Rzeszów and
                                              Podkarpackie region.
Methodology adopted Face-to-face individual and group meetings; online
                                              questionnaire
                                                  MAIN FINDINGS
All respondents agreed that the role of VET systems and centres in the green and digital
transition is very relevant (4 respondents) or extremely relevant (6 respondents). The reasons
mentioned are that the transition will be successful only if it is pushed by the systems and
centres. VET systems provide practical training which is necessary for keeping up with rapidly
changing technologies and in general with rapidly changing work and life environment. Thanks
to ability of quick adoption of VET systems to changing reality, the VET learners can be prepared
and ready to undertake challenges at the time when it is needed.
Similar answers were obtained in regards to the role of trainers in the green and digital
transition. All respondents thought that this role is very relevant (3 respondents) and extremely
relevant (7 respondents). The reasons mentioned were that the trainers are responsible for the
quality and effectiveness of the VET education. They are those who directly work with their
learners and are aware of their strong and weak areas. They can tailor the training to specific
learners and can use appropriate methods to deliver the knowledge and skills. In summary, the
transition is possible only if the trainers are well prepared and motivated.
                                                                                                        34
